Mr. Smith has been a Legacy Ag Credit stockholder since 2017. He and his wife, along with their two sons, live on their family farm in Golden, Texas, where they own and operate six broiler houses under contract with Wayne-Sanderson Farms. In addition to farming, Clay is the owner of Smith Builders & Developers, LLC, a company specializing in commercial construction and development. A fifth-generation farmer, Mr. Smith continues a family legacy that spans over 120 years on the same land. He holds a BA degree in Business Administration/Management from Texas A&M University at Commerce and actively serves on several boards throughout Wood County. Mr. Smith was elected to the board in 2025.
