Legacy Legends: Meet Brittany, Senior Credit Officer - Sulphur Springs

At Legacy Ag Credit, we know that our greatest strength is our people. That's why we're proud to continue our Legacy Legends series - a closer look at the team members who make a difference in the lives of our customers and communities every day.

This month's Legacy Legend is Brittany Hammond, Senior Credit Officer located in our Sulphur Springs office.

Brittany has been part of the Legacy family for more than 10 years, joining the association in November 2015 after spending more than seven years working in accounting. Over the past decade, she has helped countless families, farmers, ranchers, and rural landowners achieve their goals through thoughtful lending and genuine customer relationships.

While every loan is unique, Brittany believes each application represents much more than numbers on a page.

"Every loan application has a story - not only who the borrowers are now, but what their future will be," Brittany shared. "We get an opportunity to help them build a Legacy. As someone who values family, agriculture, and building something to be proud of and pass on to my children, I get excited when my work at Legacy helps someone else do the same."

Outside the office, Brittany enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking with her daughter, cheering on her children at rodeos, and embracing the rural lifestyle through horseback riding, fishing, and working around their property.

She also admits she's a bit of a numbers enthusiast.

"I really am a nerd and love crunching numbers and figuring out how to structure a loan to mitigate risks," she said with a laugh.

That passion for solving problems, combined with her commitment to helping others succeed, has made Brittany an invaluable member of the Legacy Ag Credit team for more than a decade.
