SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas - Legacy Ag Credit is pleased to announce the results of its recent Board of Directors and Nominating Committee elections.
Stockholders re-elected Brandon Sides and Whit Dale to serve three-year terms on the Board of Directors.
Mr. Sides, of Canton, Texas, is the owner and operator of Sides Pea Farm & Processing Facility. He serves on the Dallas School District Farm to School Steering Committee and holds a degree in Political Science with minors in Business and Spanish from the University of Texas. Mr. Sides has served on the Board since 2017, bringing a strong background in agriculture and a commitment to supporting the long-term success of the cooperative and its stockholders.
Mr. Dale owns and operates a cow-calf operation in Rains County, Texas, and has been employed with the Highland Park Department of Public Safety for 20 years. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from East Texas A&M University-Commerce and resides in Point, Texas, with his family. First elected to the Board in 2023, Mr. Dale continues to serve as a dedicated advocate for the Association's stockholders and rural communities.
In addition, stockholders re-elected Dr. Herbert C. Marlow, R. Clayton Conway, Jr., and Kevin Carter to serve on the 2027 Nominating Committee. Amanda Hazel, R. Michael Groom, and Steve Van were elected to serve as alternate members.
The election was conducted in accordance with Legacy Ag Credit's bylaws. To ensure a secure and impartial process, Legacy engaged independent firm Survey & Ballot Systems to administer ballot distribution, vote tabulation, and reporting of the official election results.
Legacy Ag Credit extends its sincere appreciation to Jimmy Arp and Caleb Mitchell for their willingness to serve and for their participation as candidates for the Board of Directors. The Association also thanks all stockholders who took the time to cast their vote.
As a borrower-owned cooperative, Legacy Ag Credit is governed by stockholders, making participation in the election process an important part of the cooperative way of doing business. The willingness of members to serve, vote, and engage in the governance of the Association helps ensure that Legacy remains responsive to the needs of the agricultural and rural communities it serves.
