SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas - Legacy Ag Credit is pleased to announce the promotion of Yancy Murray to Chief Lending Officer effective January 1, 2026.
Murray previously served as Senior Vice President of Lending and brings more than 23 years of lending experience to his new role. He began his career with LegacyAgCredit in 2007 and has spent nearly two decades serving borrowers across the organization’s territory. Throughout his career, he has built a strong reputation for providing thoughtful, creative lending solutions tailored to the unique needs of agricultural producers and rural borrowers. A native of Harleton, Texas, Murray earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from East Texas Baptist University and is an honor graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking (SWGSB). He is especially well known for his ability to assist borrowers transitioning from city life back to farming and ranching operations, helping them build sustainable futures in agriculture.
As Chief Lending Officer, Murray will oversee Legacy Ag Credit’s lending strategy while continuing to support the organization’s mission of serving rural communities and agriculture across its territory.
