Washington, D.C. – Members of the Legacy Ag Credit team recently traveled to Washington, D.C. to participate in the annual Farm Credit Fly-In, joining Farm Credit institutions from across the country to advocate on behalf of agriculture, rural communities, and the farmers and ranchers they serve.
During the Fly-In, the Legacy Ag Credit team met with members of Congress and congressional staff to discuss key issues impacting agriculture and rural America. Conversations focused on the importance of maintaining a strong and reliable Farm Credit System, supporting the next generation of producers, and ensuring access to credit for farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses during challenging economic conditions.
“The Farm Credit Fly-In is a valuable opportunity for us to share firsthand perspectives from the countryside,” said Board President Terry Milligan. “Our borrowers depend on us to be their voice in Washington, and these conversations help ensure lawmakers understand the real-world impact of the decisions they make.”
The Fly-In also provided an opportunity to collaborate with fellow Farm Credit associations, exchange ideas, and stay informed on federal policy developments that affect agricultural lending and rural development.
Legacy Ag Credit remains committed to advocating for policies that strengthen agriculture and rural communities while continuing to serve its members with dependable, relationship-based lending solutions.
