Legacy Ag Credit's Amy Fields Selected for 2026 Association Staff Leadership Program

July 22, 2026

MARSHALL, Texas - Legacy Ag Credit is pleased to announce that Marshall Branch Manager Amy Fields was selected to participate in this year's Association Staff Leadership Program sponsored by Farm Credit Bank of Texas, an exclusive professional development opportunity designed to strengthen leadership and deepen participants' understanding of the Farm Credit System and the agricultural finance industry.

The week-long program took participants to New York City and Washington, D.C., where representatives from each association across the Farm Credit Bank of Texas explored financial markets, agricultural trends, public policy, and the cooperative structure that supports rural lending.

While in New York City, participants met with experts at JPMorgan to discuss interest rates, agricultural commodities, and weather trends influencing the future of agriculture. The group also toured the Farm Credit Funding Corporation, gaining firsthand insight into how the Farm Credit System accesses capital through the issuance and marketing of debt securities to provide reliable financing for agriculture and rural communities nationwide.

The Washington, D.C. portion of the program focused on public policy and advocacy. Participants met with leaders from the Farm Credit Council, the national trade association representing the Farm Credit System before Congress and federal agencies, as well as officials from the Farm Credit Administration, the independent federal regulator responsible for ensuring the safety and soundness of Farm Credit institutions. The group also visited with members of Congress and congressional staff to discuss the critical role the Farm Credit System plays in supporting agriculture, agribusiness, and rural America.

"This experience provided an incredible opportunity to better understand the connection between financial markets, public policy, and the work we do every day to serve rural communities," said Fields. "I am incredibly grateful and truly humbled to have been selected to participate in this outstanding leadership program. I look forward to bringing these insights back to Legacy Ag Credit and continuing to provide the highest level of service to our customers."

Legacy Ag Credit CEO Derrell Chapman said Fields' selection reflects her commitment to leadership and serving the association's member-borrowers.

"We're proud to have Amy represent Legacy Ag Credit in this prestigious leadership program," Chapman said. "The knowledge and perspective she gained will not only benefit her professional growth but will also strengthen the service we provide to our customers and the rural communities we serve."

Legacy Ag Credit is committed to investing in professional development opportunities that equip its employees with the knowledge and leadership skills needed to meet the evolving needs of agriculture while continuing its mission of financing the future of rural Northeast Texas.
