We are pleased to announce the official results of Legacy Ag Credit, ACA’s 2024 Board of Directors and 2025 Nominating Committee elections.
Incumbent Directors Danny Evans and Tommy Goodson were both re-elected by the stockholders to a three (3) year term. Mr. Evans has been a Legacy stockholder since 1993 and has served on the Board since 2018, where he currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Goodson has been a Legacy stockholder since 2014 and has served on the Board since 2021, where he currently serves as a member of the Audit Committee.
Additionally, the stockholders elected Dr. Herb Marlow, R. Clayton Conway, Jr. and Kevin Carter, as members of the 2025 Nominating Committee, with Joey Hooton, R. Michael Groom and Amanda Hazel elected to serve as alternates.
The election was conducted in accordance with Legacy Ag Credit, ACA bylaws. The independent firm of Survey and Ballot Systems was engaged for the ballot mail out, vote tabulation and for reporting the official election results.
We would like to thank stockholders Eric Opitz and Carla Witcher for their willingness to run for a Board position and to thank all the stockholders who participated in the election process. Your involvement is a very important component of the cooperative structure and is very much appreciated.
The Boards of Legacy Ag Credit, ACA and Texas Farm Credit Services unanimously signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to explore a proposed merger of the two associations to be effective on or around November 1, 2027.
Legacy Ag Credit invites poultry growers, prospective growers, landowners, agricultural professionals, and students to attend its 3rd Annual Poultry Conference on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at the Mineola Civic Center.
Legacy Ag Credit recently welcomed three students to its Sulphur Springs office for the association's inaugural Job Shadow Program, a three-day experience designed to introduce young people to career opportunities within agricultural lending and the Farm Credit System.
