Legacy Ag Credit Returns $2.2 Million in Cash Patronage to Member-Owners

March 10, 2026

SULPHUR SPRINGS, Texas - Legacy Ag Credit is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has approved $2.2 million in cash patronage to be returned to member-owners based on the cooperative's 2025 financial performance.

The patronage distribution, payable to members in March 2026, represents approximately 50 percent of the association’s 2025 net income. As a customer-owned cooperative, Legacy Ag Credit shares its success with the people it serves by returning a portion of its earnings through the Patronage Program.

This board-approved distribution marks the 15th consecutive year Legacy Ag Credit has returned a portion of its profits to its members. Returning meaningful value to member-owners remains a priority for both the Board of Directors and the association’s management team.

“Our members are at the heart of everything we do,” said Derrell Chapman, CEO of Legacy Ag Credit. “Because our customers are also our owners, when Legacy succeeds, our members share in that success.”

Patronage payments are distributed directly to member-owners and provide tangible financial benefits that support families and landowners throughout the region.

Legacy Ag Credit is part of the nationwide Farm Credit System and provides financing for rural land, country homes, and agricultural operations across ten counties in Northeast Texas. As a cooperative, the association remains committed to helping rural communities grow and thrive.
